Sports Academy

It’s one of the versatile projects, where it aims to be one of the centers of international level Lawn tennis. The vision is to create champions by providing structured Skill Training in Lawn Tennis to children along with Physical and Mental Training and Biomechanics and Nutritional Support, in a synchronized manner under one roof.
The design is spread over a 2.2 lakh sq. ft built-up area & is aimed to be a state of the art and exquisitely designed multi-storeyed Indoor Sports Complex comprising of the components with impressive facilities for Sports school: where Sports is the focus and Academics are woven around it, Sports Science center, a Lawn Tennis Academy with eleven Indoor hard Courts and two Open to Sky Clay and Grass Courts & a tennis stadium, retail: Sports store, F&B & residential hostels.
The complex consists of two buildings, the sports & academy block & the hostel block. The academy block design stands bold to make a statement with its functional characteristics. School & academy circulation is chalked out in a way it does not collide with the program planned for both. The vertical block consists of the retail sports store and F&B on the ground floor, proceeding it to the sports school from the 1st to the 3rd floor. The exciting element of RWAMP has been incorporated to encourage students for more physical activity. The school classrooms & other functions are planned in such a way that they overlook the breathing central basketball court which can also be used as a stadium for any tournaments. From the 4th floor onwards, the tennis academy soars up with each floor having 2 indoor courts along with balcony spaces to watch the matches. Along with the other physical training like gym, yoga, swimming, the vertical walls of the sports science center are also designed for more enthralling sports like rock climbing & rappelling. All in all, the well-planned spaces complement each other to make it a robust design.
The structural system proposes braces due to the bigger floor heights for tennis courts, yet it pleasingly creates a rhythmic pattern for the facade. The facade is multi-layered with a screen & biophilic design approach to cut off the direct sunlight & feel close to the natural green. Also, each floor has openable panels on top for ventilation to maintain a thermal atmosphere.
Our approach of creating a project identity of “the whole is one” is also seen in the flowing spaces with branding, signages & collaterals.
